This piece is about the deaths of Arnold Schoenberg (1874-1951), Pierre Boulez (1925-2016), and Carly Rae Jepsen (b. 1985). It arose out of the profoundly real similarities and links between Boulez’s Répons and Carly Rae’s ‘Run Away With Me’, revealed through my own analyses of each.
